Volunteers of the Year | 2015

SUE WARE and PATRICIA GILL | 2015 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR

Sue Ware, co-Vice President, Toberman Auxiliary Thrift Shop

Sue Ware

Sue Ware has been an Active Member of the Auxiliary since 2010. Sue has volunteered countless hours in the Thrift Shop, and as co-Vice President of the Thrift Shop with Evelyn Morgan. Always smiling and cheerful Sue is a terrific asset to the Auxiliary, managing this successful non-profit business, entirely staffed by volunteers, which provides affordable clothing and goods to the community, and more than $30,000 annually to support the programs of Toberman Neighborhood Center.

Sue is often seen modeling clothes at Auxiliary FUNdraisers, and at the reservations tables at TNC events. She is a great baker and loves to bring delicious desserts to share at meetings and events.

Patricia Gill

Patricia Gill

Patricia Gill joined the Auxiliary in 2010 and took over as Editor of the Auxiliary newsletter. Her professional website development and desktop publishing skills have been an asset to the Auxiliary since then. Patricia developed, and maintains the Auxiliary website, produces the newsletter, and has served as the Communications Chair since 2010; she served as Vice President of Ways & Means in 2013, and as President in 2012 and 2015.

Because Patricia finds it difficult to refuse any request for help she is part of most Auxiliary events. Fortunately her husband Bob, daughter Megan, and grandsons Brady and Cooper are willing helpers; folding and stamping newsletters, tending bar, selling tickets, and setting up and cleaning up at FUNdraisers.
