Rosemary’s Ramblings

May I start with a profound thank you to each of you who have served on the Auxiliary Board this year, your beautiful faces pictured below from left to right: Gina McKenna (Thrift Store) Mary Hibdon (Membership) Shirley Marshall (Treasurer) Peggy Ekberg (Secretary) Flo Fenton (Corresponding Secretary) Nancy Collinge (Ways and Means) Joyce Prizler (Historian) Not pictured: Patty Gill (Newsletter) and Donna Scherlacher (Reservations). You have been my motivation, my strength and my inspiration and together, we’ve had quite a year.  We’ll be voting on a new Board at our September 25th luncheon and the actual changing of the guard (installation of the 2018 officers) will take place December 18 at our favorite eatery, Think Café. Mark your calendar, please ….and have you made your reservations yet for our September 25th General Meeting, also at Think Café, to hear our “Safety Speaker” Byron Walls? More below.

See you there and warm hugs, everyone.

Toberman Auxiliary Officers and Board 2017

We’re delighted to present a great speaker, Byron Walls, at our General Meeting and luncheon on Monday, September 25th at 11:00. He’s a bit of a stand-up comic so will be adding a touch of humor to a very serious subject, crime safety. The better informed, the safer we’ll be, right! Call Mary Hibdon at 310-629-0395 to make your reservation and you can pay the $25 at the door. Location – The Think Café at 203 West 5th St. San Pedro. Don’t miss it!

Ways & Means

My darling Auxiliary Friends: I know you have your WAYS to help me with my MEANS, so be prepared!  Lots of good thing in the works for FUNd raising, just hang in there and all will be revealed. I am looking into the Ralph’s Stores Community Participation Program whereby they will give back a percentage of all the authorized purchases of our members (families and friends)! The exact rules for participation will be forthcoming soon.  We all shop for food and Ralph’s is a good place, so this should be an easy one.  Also checking out the SEE’S candies program…TNCA will do the buy-in and we can all sell it above our buy-in price.  WHO DOESN’T LOVE CHOCOLATE!! (Chocolate makes my think of little piggies…so as Porky Pig says…’s all for now)!!

Chocolate kisses to all….Nancy Collinge, Ways & Means Chairpiggy
