Rosemary’s Ramblings:

What a delight to see so many things happening with the Auxiliary! Thanks to Patty Gill’s printing and Mary Hibdon’s mailing, you should all have your 2017 rosters by now. Coming up is Nancy Collinge’s three days of bridge this month and her cleverly- worded flyer on a garage sale in June. (both flyers attached). We’re also working on a date for a “humorous crime safety talk” by Bryon Walls and a Thursday afternoon “coffee and tour” of the Toberman campus for an update on their current community strengthening  programs.  Plan to come learn and enjoy!

Dates to remember

  • May 8th at the new time of 9:30 (second Monday of each month) – Next Board meeting
  • May 15th,17th and 19th – Game Day at Nancy Collinge’s home
  • June 3rd and 4th – Garage Sale – See enclosed flyer for more info

Thrift Shop Report

If you’ve not visited the Thrift Shop recently, please take the time to drop by and meet the warm and welcoming young manager, Marlene Hernandez.  Check out the new “Boutique Corner” and the more orderly Sorting Room. Sales for the month of March were $3295 and will continue to grow. Volunteers are always welcomed. Do just walk in the door and say I’m here to help. Thank you.

Toberman Auxiliary “Tea & Tour” Hosts Toasting a Successful Event

“Tea and Tour”

Not only was the Tea and Tour event a financial success ($2450) but it was a joyous and informative experience viewing both the unique architecture of the Zettler home and George and Rosemary’s international and historic treasures but feasting on a beautiful array of tea sandwiches. Abundant desserts followed at the Jim and Julia Heard home surrounded by their unbelievable around-the-world display of collectables and antiques.
